Ritu Singh Vaidya

Ritu Singh Vaidya is a prominent Nepali business leader, recognized for her diverse career trajectory from a beauty queen to a commanding figure in the automotive and industrial sectors.

She was crowned Miss India in 1991 and also represented India in Miss World, placing in the Top Five, and was the Second Runner Up in Miss Asia. Following her modeling career, she moved to Nepal after her marriage and established a strong presence in the business world.

Currently, Ritu Singh Vaidya serves as the Managing Director of United Traders Syndicate (UTS), which is the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal. UTS is the flagship company of Vaidya’s Organization of Industries and Trading Houses (VOITH), where she also holds a key leadership position. Her responsibilities extend across a vast business empire that includes automobiles, heavy machinery, finance, and agriculture. Her recent business ventures include the distribution of XCMG and SUNWARD heavy equipment, and involvement in the HUAXIN CEMENT project.

Beyond her corporate roles, Ritu Singh Vaidya is known for her advocacy for women’s entrepreneurship. She is a board member of the SAARC Chamber of Women Entrepreneur Council and the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs Associations of Nepal. She has also initiated ventures in microfinance banking, specifically aimed at providing entrepreneurial financing for Nepalese women.

She is one of the “Sharks” on Shark Tank Nepal, where she brings her business acumen and diverse experience to evaluate and invest in new ventures. Ritu Singh Vaidya was also elected as the Vice President of the Nepal Nippon Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NNCCI), which aims to enhance trade, industry, tourism, and economic relations between Nepal and Japan. She also played a role in the formal launch of the Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), serving as its Chairperson.
